The journey to choosing a new name for our studio was anything but simple. Working closely with Jana+Koos, who led the rebrand, and our marketing team Jackson Street Studio, we explored many directions.
It became clear that “studio” had to be part of the name - a reflection of the collaborative, creative nature of our practice.
But what could stand alongside it with strength and meaning?
The answer emerged in StudioLandt. The word Landt draws from Weylandt, honouring where we come from, while also standing for land, context, and place. More than just a name, it signals what we’re building: a practice that honours design, creativity, and meaning.
Intimidated at first, we started to unpack the meaning, and the name began to resonate – it felt grounded, confident, and true. A call to Jana+Koos confirmed it: they loved it as much as we did. From there, StudioLandt took shape.
The new identity reflects this philosophy. Earthy colours, crafted typography, and tactile artworks dissolve the boundaries between build and nature, creating a visual language that is both confident and harmonious. It embodies the way we design: with thought, craft, and a deep sensitivity to place.
At the heart of StudioLandt are our values:
