Built in Dialogue

Set against the wild Atlantic shoreline with Table Mountain as its backdrop, this coastal home is shaped by wind, light, and uninterrupted ocean views – designed for both retreat and gathering.

The brief was clear: luxurious coastal living, sophisticated yet calm. A home that reacts to its elements, whether the winds that pull you indoors or the sunsets that draw you back out.

Working alongside Darryl Croome Architects, the project became a conversation between structure and interior. They shaped the bones – the architecture, the finishes, the bespoke joinery.

We layered in the character:

feature walls, integrated headboards, custom furniture pieces designed specifically for the home. Neither half complete without the other.

Muted tones allow texture to take centre stage. Custom carpets anchor each room, while wood, stone, and layered textiles build warmth. The feature walls, integrated headboards, and custom furniture pieces were each tailored to the home’s unique layout.

Morning or evening, the light moves & shadows shift. The house moves with the day.

A true testament to what becomes possible when architects and interior designers share a vision and see it through, together.
